Chapter 261 - Outbreak Of Bugs
"T-This… What kind of power is this?!"
Albion\'s casual sword swing cleaved apart the ice and left a long scar on the land, stretching for dozens of yards and stunned all the scouts
Their eyes gradually widened with shock and awe.
"Only experts at the Spirit Manifestation Realm like the City Lord could have pulled off an attack at this level of destructiveness so casually…" the blonde elf commented.
"Never mind that!" the human man quickly shook his head and said urgently, "We need to take advantage of this opening to get out of here!"
"Get out of here and go where? Into the crack? There\'s still nowhere to go!" the blond elf rolled his eyes.
Although Albion managed to cleave away one portion of the Frost Demons, the scouts were still surrounded on one side and faced a large crack on the other.
Nevertheless, Albion swung his sword again.
Another sword wave immediately cleaved away dozens of Frosts Demons along with the land, connecting with the previous devastation and formed a V-shaped scar.
"Is this enough help?" Albion casually asked.
The three scouts gulped and nodded.
"Yes, sir!"
With the Frost Demons\' numbers greatly reduced, they have no problem dealing with the remaining Frost Demons obstructing them.
Albion took that as the cue to leave with Fenriri.
However, the dog-man quickly called, "Just wait a moment, my lord! Can we get the name of our savior?"
"Just call me Albion," Albion casually said.
"So it\'s Lord Albion," the dog-man nodded, engraving the name into his heart before he said, "I will remember it. If you ever need help in Blue Wyvern City, please stop by my Starlet family!"
"Sure."
It was uncertain whether Albion took the dog-man\'s words seriously or not, but he eventually left the area with Fenriri as she dragged her leather bag along.
The two disappeared into the blizzard, the dog-man quickly urged, "We need to hurry back to Blue Wyvern City and inform everyone. This hellish place is not far from our city."
As the dog-man spoke, the human and elf gazed at the new group of Frost Demons spawning out of the ground before they nodded solemnly.
…
…
…
Albion and Fenriri eventually made a quick stop by Blue Wyvern City for a last-minute shop of necessities.
However, several minutes into entering the city, City Lord Baschmi arrived at their location to greet Albion before being stunned immediately.
"Sir Albion, what happened to you?" City Lord Baschmi asked with surprise before commenting, "You look like you\'ve just been ravaged by a bear in the wild."
"Haiz, don\'t mention it," Albion waved his nonchalantly before saying, "More importantly, what did you come to see me for? Don\'t tell me you want to sell the pills back?"
As Albion said this, he gave the city lord a cautious look, causing City Lord Baschmi to nearly choke on his following words.
City Lord Baschmi shook his head wryly before saying, "Of course not, Sir Albion. You left the city a while ago. I was just wondering if you happen to know anything about the previous tremor in the north?"
"Ahh… about that, you can say that hell has descended on this world. The frozen layer of the Underworld has been transported to the surface," Albion casually said with an indifferent look as if it was not a big deal.
However, City Lord Baschmi did not feel the same way.
"Did you just say the frozen layer has been transported, Sir Albion? The lowest layer of the Underworld, where a certain part of the river of wailing is said to be frozen, the frozen lake, Cocytus?"
"That is correct," Albion nodded.
"If that is the case, this is a serious issue," City Lord Baschmi said solemnly before excusing himself, "Please excuse me, Sir Albion. I will need to make quick arrangements to control the situation before it becomes uncontrollable."
"Go right ahead," Albion gestured with a hand.
Shortly after the city lord left, Albion and Fenriri did not stay for long before they departed the Blue Wyvern City and returned to the old Iceborn Wolf Tribe.
"Hm? Seems like someone has been here," Albion noticed the chest had been moved slightly before checking o the Blizzard Earthworms inside and said, "It seems like they didn\'t do anything to the Blizzard Earthworms…"
"Alright, we\'ve stayed here long enough. It\'s time to return, Fenriri."
"Yes, Master!"
A few moments later, Albion picked up the chest and stepped into the world portal with Fenriri, returning to the Glacia continent of Earth.
As they shortly returned to Stronghold GC-06, Albion and Fenriri immediately noticed the usually high activity of wolf-people running about as if something big was happening.
Albion quickly stopped a wolf-man before questioning him, "Hey you, what happened?"
"M-My Lord, welcome back!" the wolf-man quickly greeted with respect before stating, "There\'s been an outbreak of bugs, my Lord! Although they are not very strong, their numbers are alarming. As such, the entire tribe is on high alert!"
"Bugs?" Albion furrowed his brows for a moment.
After recalling the rift shown under Stronghold GC-01, Albion nodded, "I got it. Where is your princess, Fenrira, now?"
"Her Highness has gone to the first settlement with the majority of the tribe\'s elite forces. That is where the outbreak of bugs is the strongest, my Lord!" the wolf-man answered.
"Alright, I understand. You can go back and do what you need to do," Albion sent the wolf-man off after getting the gist of the situation.
Ring, ring~!
Suddenly, Albion\'s phone rang before Albion saw it was a call from Anya Seymour, causing him to frown slightly before he ultimately accepted the call and answered impassively, "What is it?"
"Are you free today?" Anya Seymour asked.
Albion paused for a moment before checking the date and noticed it was Valentine\'s Day.
"Are you asking me out on a date?" Albion assumed.
Nevertheless, he was surprised that Anya Seymour did not seem to have learned of his identity yet.
"Date, your sister!" Anya Seymour immediately snarled before saying, "There\'s a cultural gathering event for like-minded people like us if you know what I mean. Also, there\'ll be all sorts of merchandise for sale at the venue. So, are you interested?"
"An event for Otakus?" Albion muttered with interest before asking earnestly, "When? And where?"
