Chapter 295 - Exposed
"Uwah, so pretty!"
Fenriri\'s sudden outburst quickly caught the first princess by surprise before she shifted her glance down to Fenriri beside Albion and smiled.
"Please, have a seat." Princess Floria offered them to be seated again before speaking, "I believe a quick introduction is necessary, but before that…"
The first princess abruptly stopped mid-speech to clap her hands, signaling the attendants to fill the table with food and drinks.
The attendants quickly brought out an array of exquisite and fresh vegetarian dishes, carrying an enticing aroma that immediately whetted Fenriri\'s bottomless appetite.
With a single glance, Albion immediately understood the Willow\'s Secret was deserving of its fame despite being a newly established food business.
The faint spiritual aura exuding from the dishes made them anything but ordinary.
They were spiritual food that allowed cultivators to increase their spiritual cultivation simply by consuming them—much like ingesting cultivation pills.
Without a specialist preparing the meal, spiritual food would not be made possible.
Princess Floria noticed how intently Albion stared at the dishes and immediately knew that he already understood the secret behind the food.
But while Albion understood the secret of the food, Fenriri did not.
"Master, master! What is this? How can it smell so good—!?" Fenriri tugged on Albion\'s sleeve while pointing at the dishes on the table and drooling, "Can we eat right away?!"
Albion shifted his gaze to Princess Floria before she nodded, expressing that she did not mind for them to start eating at once.
"Go ahead."
Once Albion gave his approval, Fenriri immediately dug into the food in front of her with great gusto and speed, as if she was afraid it would disappear if she were too slow.
Nevertheless, neither Albion nor Princess Floria touched the food.
They continued to eye each other from opposite sides of the table before Albion eventually broke the silence between them.
"And so? For what reasons did the first princess want to meet me?" Albion asked casually.
"Nothing in particular." Princess Floria picked up a cup of tea and took a casual sip before saying, "I just wanted to meet the hero who resolved one of this princess\'s dilemmas."
"Given your status, I\'m sure the issue would have been resolved even without my intervention," Albion stated nonchalantly.
"And yet, you did so anyway," Princess Floria added cooly, "I wonder why?"
"…"
Albion silently twirled his cup of tea in hand without a word.
Shortly after, Princess Floria suddenly smiled and said, "I have spoken too seriously. Forgive me. You may have already heard from other people, but allow me to introduce myself. I am the first princess of this country, Princess Floria."
"Or so it seems," Albion inputted with a cool expression.
Princess Floria immediately furrowed her brows at once after noticing the hidden connotation in Albion\'s words.
"What do you mean?" Princess Floria asked with a puzzled look.
"Why don\'t you tell me why the first princess of Elvaraden, a place that is literally overflowing with life, has the stench of the Netherworld, a place full of death?"
Sniff, sniff
Fenriri\'s nose twitched with surprise after hearing her master\'s words, but she failed to smell anything strange about the first princess.
For her master to smell something that she, a proud member of the Iceborn Wolf Tribe with a superior sense of smell, could not was strange in and of itself.
"Master, did you make a mistake? How could Princess Floria stink?" Fenriri expressed her doubt. She could only smell the pleasant scent of flowers off Princess Floria\'s body.
Nevertheless, Albion continued to keep his eye on Princess Floria as he smiled and said, "I don\'t know. Did I make a mistake?"
"Whether it was a mistake or not is important," Princess Floria avoided the question with another topic, "What\'s important is why you have come here, True Immortal? Or should I call you the Dark Lord?"
Thud!
A piece of corn immediately dropped from Fenriri\'s hand as she stared widely at Princess Floria with shock before turning her head quickly to Albion.
"Master, she…."
Before Fenriri could finish saying the word \'knows,\' she quickly covered her mouth in a clumsy manner.
While it seemed like Fenriri prevented herself from giving Princess Floria an implicit confirmation of her suspicion, the truth was that it did not matter.
Princess Floria seemed very certain of her guess.
"Although I am curious how you found out, the truth is I don\'t really care. You can call me Albion like your little sister," Albion smiled confidently and said, "More importantly, what would you do after finding out who I am?"
At that happened, the attendants standing behind the first princess felt weakness in their knees as they overheard their conversation.
"T-The Dark Lord?!" One of them cried.
While it wasn\'t long since the tribe transmigrated to Earth, they have heard many stories about the Dark Lord from foreign visitors, especially recently.
The Dark Lord was a powerful cultivator who has transcended mortality and achieved immortality.
However, the said cultivator was evil and selfish, having robbed all of the world\'s resources and butchered millions of lives.
The person\'s path to immortality could be said to have been built on mountains of corpses and rivers of blood.
"For such a handsome face to hide such a devilish nature…" One of the attendants softly muttered before the two attendants spoke simultaneously shortly after.
"It is such a waste…"
"It might not be so bad to join the dark side…"
"…"
"…"
The two attendants were briefly silent before the left attendant quickly turned to the right attendant with wide eyes.
"…W-What did you say? Are you out of your mind? H-H-How could you…" the left attendant stuttered with shock.
"Silence!" Princess Floria quickly demanded of her two attending maids.
Sometime later, the two attendants were brought under control by Princess Floria\'s commanding words and presence before Princess Floria returned her attention to Albion.
"Please excuse my maids for the lack of discipline," Princess Floria said apologetically before she sincerely requested, "About the previous matter, won\'t you help us free the Elf King from the demoness\'s spell?"
"Oh?" Albion\'s interest was piqued before he asked with a smile, "Why don\'t you tell me more about it first?"
