Chapter 208: Descend of the God (b)
Not only had the beasts living in the central zone betrayed them, but their homes were also in danger of getting destroyed. One could feel the anger emerging of the spirit beasts belonging to the nightmare zone. They were brimming with murderous desires, and they only had blood in their eyes.
Dust swirled up to the air, coloring the landscape in brown as the sound of the army charging ahead shunned all other noises and gave rise to fear and excitement in the hearts of many.
The onlookers could see that Oliver Charlotte, Old Wolf, and the beasts behind them were going to do everything in their power to fend off the betrayers, destroy the last barrier crystal, set the forest free, and shatter the formation.
Whether they were to lose their lives in the process or not, it mattered not. They all had the same thought, and that was to win the war, no matter how many sacrifices.
“You’re the ones courting death!” Said the Devil Bull while gnashing her filthy jaws. She was angry to see their defiant actions, and she wanted to crush them like ants to show how wrong Old Wolf was to not surrender to her.
Tyler Barnes brought his hands towards the incoming army of beasts and commanded, “Charge ahead! Don’t let them come to this site and disturb the formation even if you have to breathe your last on the battlefield today!
“Freedom is only a step away.”
The very next moment, the beasts around him roared at the top of their lungs, causing a heavy pressure to fall on the battlefield.
“We will give up our lives for the cause.”
“Freedom is only a step away.”
While chanting those words in their language, the spirit beasts also marched ahead valiantly.
The two armies were four kilometers away from each other when roaring laughter came from high above. They were loud and spread throughout the center of the forests like explosives shockwaves, rendering the world speechless.
Just how powerful must the person be to cause such a devastating effect from just laughing?
Everyone raised their heads towards the sky, tens of thousands of eyes turned upwards, only to see a man with refined features standing on top of a double-headed snake with his arms crossed.
The view on the barrier of the ancient settlement also changed. Everyone, from Lady Charlotte and Jack Turner to instructor Leonardo and Richard Regis, saw the main focus of the event—Elliot Vincent. He was standing upright as clouds floated about him, harmony and mystery tinging the air around him. Although he was looking at thousands of enemies, there was not a single trace of nervousness in his eyes that he curved into a smile.
He was looking at the dangerous sight below as if he was looking at his next meal?
A sense of absurdity filled everyone’s mind. If the current shook wasn’t enough, what Elliot did next almost caused the hearts of the Magic Kings and instructor Leonardo to leap out of their chest.
He jumped from Grace’s head and plunged towards the Devil Bull, Tyler Barnes, and tens of thousands of beasts!
“He jumped towards his death!”
“Fuck! Is he an idiot?!”
“Are we going to lose a potential Magic Emperor?! No!!”
Those thoughts sounded in everyone’s mind as they watched his reckless charge. Some of them thought that Elliot would get crushed to death and felt so much sorrow at the prospect of losing a potential magic emperor that their eyes turned red. Some of them were happy but also sad as they thought that Elliot was going to die. Jack Turner and Leonardo were wishing and looking forward to seeing a miracle.
“Get ready!” Elliot, the reckless youth and the crazed maniac, shouted while charging down the air. All of a sudden, he raised his hands above his head. A sense of foreboding filled the heart of Tyler Barnes. He thought that he was overthinking things and dismissed his feeling. After all, what can a single person do while plunging straight towards tens of thousands of vicious beasts and psychopathic serpentine devils?!
Oh, he was wrong, inaccurate he had ever been!
Not just him, but everyone else too.
They had underestimated Elliot too much!
Elliot suddenly opened his wings, coming to a halt. At this moment, he looked like some kind of celestial that had descended halfway into the mortal world because gold and glorious lights were surrounding him. Every female was charmed by his handsomeness. Even married women felt the flame of love blazing their hearts.
[-35000 units of the essence of life!]
[-35000 units of the essence of life!]
[The divine manifestation matrix on your soul had consumed a total of 70000 units of the essence of life to manifest your thoughts.]
“My XP, here comes daddy!” With these ridiculous words, waves after waves of golden energy blasted out of his fist—the volume was enough to create an ocean above everyone’s head. The entire sky turned golden as if a celestial had decided to descend from the heavenly realm to set foot on the mortal world. Then, the golden energy swirled along with the bright snowy clouds, converging into two all-encompassing fists of great destructive might.
The eyes of his enemies and the onlookers widened so much that they threatened to pop out of their sockets, and their mouths gaped so much that their jaws threatened to drop to touch the ground. They were so shocked that they forgot to even breathe. They couldn’t make sense of the situation.
“All the oppositions in the world be destroyed!”
Elliot didn’t give anyone a chance to respond as he immediately brought his hands down. Following this, the two giant fists descended straight towards the beasts led by the serpentine devils. The clouds scattered apart as a great pressure gripped the targets’ throats!
The wind burst apart, and the space itself cried out shrilly as if it was getting torn apart by the two godly fists that shadowed everyone in the two words—absolute doom.
